Transeuropa
The standards we hold ourselves to when we advise clients, deal with insurers, and represent Transeuropa Insurance Brokers.
Last updated: 27 July 2026
This code sets out how everyone at Transeuropa Insurance Brokers is expected to behave: with clients, with insurers, with each other, and with the wider public. It exists to protect the trust our clients place in us, and it applies to every broker, member of staff, and contractor acting on our behalf.
We recommend cover based on what genuinely suits a client's circumstances, never on which product pays us the most. We explain policies in plain language, disclose the limits and exclusions that matter, and make sure clients understand what they're buying before they commit to it.
If a client's needs would be better served elsewhere, including outside our panel, we'll say so.
Where a broker's personal interest could reasonably influence advice given to a client (a family relationship with an insurer, a personal financial stake, or anything similar), it's declared and managed before that advice is given. No one at Transeuropa places their own interest ahead of a client's.
Modest, occasional hospitality connected to normal business dealings is permitted and recorded. Anything that could reasonably be seen as an attempt to influence a recommendation, from an insurer, a client, or anyone else, is declined and reported.
We don't offer, give, request, or accept bribes or improper payments of any kind, in any market we operate in, whether directly or through a third party. This applies equally to dealings with insurers, clients, introducers, and public officials.
Client information is used only for the purposes a client would reasonably expect (arranging and managing their cover) and isn't shared beyond that without a proper basis for doing so. See our Privacy Policy and GDPR page for how this is handled in practice.
We give insurers on our panel accurate, complete information about the risks we place with them, and we compare cover on its merits rather than steering business toward any one insurer for reasons unrelated to client outcomes.
Policy documents, claims notes, marketing material, and internal records are kept accurate and complete. We don't misrepresent cover, exaggerate claims outcomes, or alter records to make a situation look better than it was.
Clients and colleagues are treated with respect regardless of background, and cover recommendations are never influenced by anything other than risk and need. Discrimination or harassment of any kind isn't tolerated.
Anyone (client, colleague, or third party) who believes this code has been breached can raise it with us directly, in confidence, without fear of reprisal. See our Regulatory Information page for how formal complaints are handled and escalated.
Breaches of this code are taken seriously and addressed directly with those involved, up to and including ending a working relationship. We review this code periodically; the "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version.
